Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Farmer Copilot, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement, and accept these Terms in full. If you use Farmer Copilot on behalf of a farming business, partnership, or cooperative, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification and email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

2. Licence Grant

Subject to these Terms and your compliance with the subscription terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the Farmer Copilot application on devices you own or control, solely for your personal and farm management purposes.

This licence does not permit: (a) sublicensing or reselling the app; (b) reverse engineering, decompiling, or extracting source code except where permitted by applicable law; (c) creating derivative works; (d) using the app to build a competing service; or (e) removing proprietary notices.

3. Subscription Tiers & Billing

3.4 Billing & Cancellation

Pro Farmer subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. You may cancel your subscription at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. Annual subscribers who cancel within 14 days of initial purchase receive a full refund.

3.5 Free Trial

New accounts may be eligible for a 30-day Pro Farmer free trial. Credit card details are required but will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial with no charge.

3.6 Price Changes

We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Existing subscribers will maintain their current plan price until their next renewal cycle after the change.

4. Farm Data Ownership

All farm data you enter into Farmer Copilot — including animal records, health histories, financial transactions, crop data, and production metrics — belongs exclusively to you. We claim no ownership, intellectual property rights, or licence over your farm data beyond what is necessary to provide the service to you.

You may export your complete farm data at any time in CSV or JSON format. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently erased within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not hold your data hostage or charge a fee for data export.

4.3 Accuracy of Records

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. Farmer Copilot cannot be held responsible for animal welfare decisions, veterinary treatments, financial decisions, or regulatory compliance made based on inaccurate data that you have entered.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Farmer Copilot only for lawful purposes related to farm management and agricultural operations. The following are expressly prohibited:

• Using the app to commit fraud, money laundering, or tax evasion
• Entering false veterinary or compliance records
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or compromise the app or its infrastructure
• Scraping or bulk-downloading other users' community content without permission
• Impersonating another user, veterinarian, or farm
• Publishing misleading, defamatory, or harmful content in community forums
• Using the AI features to generate content intended to deceive regulators
• Sharing your account credentials with other individuals outside your farm team

6. Animal Welfare Disclaimer

Farmer Copilot provides AI-powered health predictions, alerts, and management recommendations as informational tools only. These tools do NOT constitute veterinary advice. AI predictions have an error rate and must not replace the judgement of a registered veterinary professional.

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for all decisions affecting animal health, welfare, and treatment. In any situation involving potential animal distress, injury, or illness, you must consult a licensed veterinarian. Farmer Copilot Ltd. accepts no liability for animal health outcomes.

You must comply with all applicable animal welfare legislation in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to the Animal Welfare Act (UK/US), EU Animal Health Law (Reg. 2016/429), and any species-specific regulations.

7. Intellectual Property

Farmer Copilot, the Farmer Copilot logo, AI models, algorithms, UI/UX design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Farmer Copilot Ltd. and protected by copyright, trademark, and patent law. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited licence described in Section 2.

7.2 Community Content

Content you contribute to community forums (posts, photos, tutorials) remains yours. By posting, you grant Farmer Copilot a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, moderate, and distribute your content within the platform. You may delete your community content at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FARMER COPILOT LTD. IS NOT LIABLE FOR: ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA; LOSSES ARISING FROM ANIMAL ILLNESS OR DEATH; CROP FAILURES; OR FINANCIAL LOSSES RESULTING FROM USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) £100 (or local currency equivalent). Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in such cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

9. Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → My Account → Delete Account. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

9.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms (e.g., fraudulent activity, serious acceptable use violations). For minor violations, we will typically provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your licence ends. You may request an export of your farm data within 30 days of termination. After 30 days, your data will be permanently erased per our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your local law also apply.

10.2 Dispute Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes amicably. Before initiating formal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected]. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the ICC Rules. Class action waiver: you agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

10.3 Jurisdiction for EU Users

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr). Our email address for ODR purposes is [email protected].

11. General Provisions

11.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Farmer Copilot Ltd. regarding your use of the service and supersede all prior agreements.

11.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

11.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
